Beaujolais With a Difference For Christmas Day

Whilst this is true of the majority of the wines of the region there are some noteable exceptions with the wines from the village of Morgon being one. Rather than the bright raspberry and strawberry aromas of other Beaujolais, this Morgon is dominated by aromas of black fruit, including blackberries and blackcurrants, gently topped with a touch of spice.

This prominence of dark autumnal fruit in this wine, combined with the medium body, makes it an excellent choice when trying to find a partner for roasted poultry with all the trimmings. A wonderful choice for Christmas day!
