Refreshingly Fruity With a Nutty Edge

Gavi, or Gavi de Gavi as the better incarnations are known, is the finest style of white wine produced in the Piedmont region of North Western Italy. The grape that is responsible is known as Cortese and produces wines with crisp, floral, peachy, aromatic qualities. The wine in this month's case has a gentle spice and soft nuttiness which compliments the stone fruit aromatic qualities of the wine perfectly. This is a wine which is ideal as an aperitif but also suitable to drink with light creamy pasta or fish dishes.

Commune Manfredi

The Manfredi family have been wine producers since 1863. The current family are keeping up with the times by converting their 20 hectare estate of Dolcetto into an organic vineyard, the windy hill of Bricco Rosso being an ideal site.
