I just love Riesling. In fact I would have called my dog Riesling if my family would have let me! This wine is form a small family estate on the banks of Germanys Mosel river. It is a Trocken / dry style Riesling displaying a wealth of stone fruit character and finishing with a crisp appley long finish.
This has be a personal favourite of mine since I visited the winery way back in 2005. It is made from the Pinot Grigio grape variety which is also know as Pinot Gris as it is on this label. It had a lovely depth and character to it with it is fresh vibrant and full-bodied and slight off dry. Great with a slightly spicy dish too.
