A Winery Born on Christmas Day

Now in their fourth generation, in 2003 Mario’s sons, Juan Pablo Bonete, winemaker, and his brother Angel, built a new purpose-built winery with a production capacity of 3 million litres and equipped with and 3500 barrels. In 2015, Piqueras celebrated 100 years.

The wine in this months case comes from the Finca Los Cuchillos estate where Piqueras’ oldest 60 year-old Garnacha Tintorera bush vines produce the most concentrated fruit, owing to the depth and power of the wines.
