Return Of An Old Friend from New Zealand

Hot summers and long autumns have proved ideal for producing premium wines in Bannockburn. The unique microclimates in the area provide shelter and heat to the vines, producing high quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc wines. We have included many of this producer's wines in the Wine Club over the years and in this month's case we have opted for their exceptional Pinot Gris. Aromas of fragrant pear, peach blossom, lemon and marzipan on the nose mingle with a hint of biscotti. Mouth filling on the palate it provides flavours of peach, pear and juicy stonefruit along with hints of rockmelon. This is an off dry wine with excellent balance and a clean, dry and lingering finish. An exceptional pairing with lightly spiced cuisine.
