The Terra Barossa range from the Thorn-Clarke winery pays tribute to the ideal grape growing terroir of the Barossa Valley. The free draining soil structure combined with the continental climate of warm days and cool nights enables them to produce elegant wines with good varietal characters. The Shiraz in this months case is a classic deep purple red and bursts onto the nose with aromas of ripe plums, cherries and earth with subtle notes of vanilla and cloves. The aromas follow through onto the palate with a fruit focus, subtle oak notes and soft, rounded tannins. The wine is full bodied with a plush mouthfeel.
