Other Fortified Wines

These wines don't quite sit in under the Sherry, Madeira or Port umbrella, they offer their own individual take on fortified wines or wines over the 15% abv. These wines are very interesting and have a unique style that is often reflected in the region they are from.

New World Port

Often people have asked us if we stock 'port' from South Africa or Australia. Remember 'Port' is a protected name for the fortified wines from Portugal. In Europe you cannot use the term port to discibe fortified wines from else where in the world. If you have come across South African Port for example, this has probably been in an overseas market. In Europe it would be sold as South African Fortified wine.
