Risotto

As with all food and wine matching, consider the base ingredient and the orgins of the dish. Risotto orginates from Italy so this would be the starting point as a wine choice.

Generally opt for medium bodied reds, however should mushrooms be the base ingredient look for slightly fuller styles.
