St-Amour is a small appellation with a romantic name, the demand for whose wines can lead to prices they do not deserve (especially around St-Valentine's Day). It is the northernmost appellation in the district, bordering the white wine territory of St-Véran, and Chardonnay is also grown here and sold under that Mâconnais label.
