Entre-Deux-Mers

Entre-Deux-Mers

This area produces both red and white wines and some sweet wines. It is often regarded as the production room for the mass-produced wines of Bordeaux. However, some good generic wines from the very small châteaux can be found here. The region lies between the River Garonne and the Dordogne and encompasses areas such as Cadillac and Ste-Croix-du-Mont. Across this region the soils encompass mainly silt, sand, gravel and limestone clay.
