A relatively thick-skinned, lightly coloured white grape grown almost exclusively in Gascony. It's often used in Saint-Mont andPacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellation blends either as dry white or in pudding-wines. Lemon pith and gunsmoke are promenant elements in the mouth.
Very rarely grown outside Gascony, it's uncommon to see this as a varietal wine. Often blended with Gros Manseng, Petit Courvu & Petit Manseng, Arrufiac adds a sharpening crispness to the blend.
