Possibly the most famous of Australia's wine producing regions, the Barossa valley has an incredible reputation worldwide and especially noted for the Shiraz it makes. It has a warm mediterranean-like climate that ripens the fruit perfectly, the soil types are diverse and include terra rossa that is well draining and provides excellent conditions for growth. There are many vineyards in the Barossa with old vines, some dating back over a centuary. These vines contribute to the unique character of the region's wines, providing depth, complexity, and concentration of flavours.
