Geography and Climate

Most of the wine production is located in the foothills of the Troodos mountains on the south-facing slopes. The vineyards are located at an elevation between 2,000 and 3,500 feet, in the regions where rain falls in quite luscious green valleys.

Current Trends

Today, the industry is looking to modify the wine styles with new winemaking techniques slowly being implemented with a move to produce light, dry wines based on the local grape varieties.
