The single Lison-Pramaggiore DOC was created from two seperate DOCs in 1985. Lison DOCG makes white wines made only from Tai grapes which are lively, fruit driven wines with citrus/almond flavours with a dry minerality. 

Vines & Styles 

Rosso, Bianco, Spumante, Frizzante, Novello and Riserva wines are all produced in this DO. Red varietals grown here include: Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc and Malbec. White grapes include: Tocai Friulano/Tai, Pinot Bianco & Grigio, Verduzzo and Chardonnay. Lison-Pramaggiore Bianco must use no less than 50% Tai and Lison-Pramaggiore Rosso uses the same minimum proportion of Merlot. Riserva wines have to age for two years before commercial sale. 

Climate & Conditions 

The climate is Maritime, with cooling breezes from the Adriatic and a warming continental influence. The Piave river flows from the hills around Conegliano, creating a plain which the cooling breezes to sweep across.
