Sitting in Cantenac on Bordeaux's Left Bank, Chateau Kirwan has been owned by Schröder and Schÿler since 1925. The name is taken from the rather ill-fated owner Mr Kirwan who had an abrupt meeting with the guillotine the 1790's. The wines from here have been improving in the past decade, previously having been out of form.
