A superb example of classic Burgundy. Wonderful flowery aromas with hints of lemon and pear with subtle toast. Great depth and minerals with a balanced long finish. Wonderful!

Chassagne-Montrachet shares similarities and has differences with its neighbour, Puligny-Montrachet, to the north. The similarities include a claim on the legendary La Montrachet vineyard, which straddles their border; a sumptuous style of grand cru white wines with an even richer price tag; and a number of premier cru vineyards that produce excellent and affordable wines. The best white wines are layered, luscious and capable of ageing for up to 20 years.
