Pays de Vaucluse is the local wine of the southern Rhone, the grapes are grown in the vineyards surrounding the famous Rhone appellations of Gigondas, Cairanne and Séguret. Whilst they may not share the superb terroir of their more famous neighbours, the yields are higher, allowing for the production of wines that have all the hallmarks of the Rhône with great drinkability.
