Dessert Wines

Dessert wines are typically too domineering to accompany food dishes, and are best appreciated as aperitifs or post-dinner delights. 

Ranging from lighter and subtly forceful aperitifs to ostensibly potent and sticky after-dinner wines, the Muscat grape is the monarch here.

The Eiswein (ice wine) of Germany, Austria and Canada produces the most lively, zesty and punchy flavours, whilst the Tokaji region produces very tangy and long-lasting sweetness.
