Campbeltown

The Campbeltown style is a marriage between highland peat and depth with the saltiness of a coastal. Very few distilleries remain on this outcrop of a penninsula, Springbank being the most well known. Before prohibition in the 1920's-30's, this style and distilling area was much more common. Since then, the style has never recovered.

  1. Springbank, 15 years old

    Springbank, 15 years old 70cl

This is a big and warming whisky with plenty of coastal influence. Pineapple, caramel, and guava lurk on the nose and are accompanied by more savoury tones of leather and granary . The palate is rich with hints of exotic fruit and spice which leads in to a long, heady finish.
