Thank you for taking the time to read this page. Here are some answers to some of our Frequently Asked Questions about our GoCardless Direct Debit Scheme. 

What is GoCardless?

GoCardless is a company that enables small businesses, like ours, to setup and take Direct Debits more efficiently and securely. It is intended for use by customers who are members of our Wine Club, our Wine Credits service, or who have a credit facility on their account. 

Easy To Setup

Our existing Direct Debit scheme relys on a paper based system - passing a signed mandate forms back to the bank. Quite often this gets lost in the post and creates associated problems.  This is why we have moved to the GoCarless Service.

Customers who decide to use GoCardless simply complete a mandate form online from a link we send you, it only takes a moment to do.

Call us on 0115 958 0922 to request a mandate form to be emailed to you.

How Are Payments Taken?

Once the GoCardless mandate is completed they will collect the payment on our behalf. Please note that it can take 3 to 5 working days for the setup information to pass between banks.

GoCardless will notify you by email a few days before your payments is collected.

On your bank statement you will see 'Weavers' and the payment amount collected, however for the next month or so this will show 'GoCardless' and the amount taken.

Can I Cancel?

You can cancel the mandate at anytime, just like you would with any other Direct Debits you may have setup.  Should you have an outstanding balance on your account we will contact you to settle this by card.

How Do I Sign Up?
