Colour and Flavours

Gewürztraminer imparts a distinctive golden hue. Usually, the wine is intensely aromatic, with a floral and peachy character. On the palate, Gewürztraminer leaves spicy notes, which are most delightful. Typical flavours are as distinctive as the bouquet, with Turkish delight, rose, lychee and even smoky bacon being amongst them.

Gewurztraminer (often written without the umlaut in Alsace), Traminer (Germany), Traminer Aromatico (Italy), Païen (Switzerland), Mala Dinka (sometimes in Bulgaria) and Rusa (sometimes in Romania).
