Morey-St-Denis
Less well known than its illustrious neighbours, Morey-St-Denis offers both excellent grand cru wines and affordable ones from the lower appellations. Its five grand cru vineyards - two of which are walled survivors of monastic times whilst two are unusual for Burgundy in having single owners (the Clos de Tart falls into both of these categories) - are all now producing consistently fine wines.
