Absolutely delicious stuff, so approachable and easy-going and yet clearly of very fine, well-defined quality too. A seductive nose with notes of almonds and white peach. A bright, lively palate yet creamy and soft.

Origin - France, Champagne

Grape Variety - Pinot Noir, Chardonnay

ABV - 12.5%

Pol Roger reserves its declarations of a vintage for years in which all the climatic, viticultural and winemaking components come together for the making of the finest champagne.

Pol Roger's vintage blend is traditionally 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the Montage de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.

Interestingly, Pol Roger moved away from maturing their wine in oak, a practice used by most Champagne houses, in 1930. Originally they moved to concrete but now store the wine in stainless steel in order to maintain the quality of the fruit by having greater control over the temperature. The end product is a wine that is very clean, direct and honest tasting.
