- There are over 120 festivals in the Beaujolais region to celebrate the vintage and the release of the wine.
- Geographically the region of Beaujolais lies in the Rhone department, yet could be regarded as a wine from Burgundy. However, the people of Beaujolais believe their wine region stands on its own.
