Here are my wines of interest, six bottles that I've fallen in love with since I've been with Weavers. I've gone for a broad range of grape varieties to suit a range of tastes and styles, with an eclectic mix of flavours and textures. Of course there's so much more to discover and I'm on hand in the shop most Saturdays of you'd like to come and discuss the selection and taste some wines. I hope you'll agree with some of my choices, you know where to find me if not!Read More
Two trusted friends return, Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec. Both French, both lovely. You may not recognise some of these but please try them, you might find your new favourite! Ganadrada red is a beautiful wine, rich, plummy and spicy. Californian Zinfandel, blackcurrant, plum and subtle chocolate, well worth a try. Aligote, the forgotten grape from Burgundy, apricot, flinty and crisp, a lovely alternative from New Zealand white. Basa Blanco from Spain, zesty, fresh and a lively, bubbly sensation finish.
