Excellent deep ruby hue and a deep, dark core. Its nose is perfumed and concentrated with great focus and balance between exuberant fresh vinosity and fine-grain oak that closes around the youthful bouquet.

2015 was a great year in Clare. Cabernet Sauvignon budburst jumped the gun but ripening conditions were great, dry and warm; good news for healthy grapes! Initially fermented in stainless steel for five days before transfer to French oak. 1/3 in first fill French oak and 2/3 in 1-2 year old oaken barrels for 13 months.
A great wine from the Taylor family's Wakefield Estate in Clare Valley, South Australia. Only premium fruit was used in this release to commemorate Bill Taylor snr. who had the confidence to plant Cabernet Sauvignon on his newly acquired farm. This decision was met by skepticism from the majority but is now seen as a stroke of brilliance.
