Hi and welcome to the latest Weavers Wine Club case,

This time around I’ve decided that the focus will be wines of the New World, and I've chosen a selection that I hope you will enjoy. As always, I’ve tried to make it a bit more interesting by going for styles that, whilst representing their countries of origin, are not obvious choices. My personal favourites are the Pask wine I’ve included and the Argentinean wines but I’m really happy with the whole selection and I hope you’ll agree.

Shop tastings are still going strong every Saturday and Chris has spent March trying to get Nottingham shoppers to rediscover German wine, with some success. Don’t forget if you’re in town to pop by for a chat and the chance to try something, if not wine then one of the spirits or liqueurs we have on taste. There’s quite a range of things to give a go, from whisky and gin to plum sake and the amazing Myrtil with whole blueberries floating in the bottle. It would be good to see you and I always like to pick the brains of wine club members about inclusions for future cases. On that note, thanks to those of you who have provided feedback, it would appear the Villa Wolf wines were a hit with most of you which I’m glad to hear. Don’t forget, if you have something to say about the Wine Club email me or pick up the phone, I’m only too happy to have a chat about it.

Enough of me rambling on, it’s time to get to the serious stuff and taste some wine, I hope you all like the selection as much as I do. Enjoy!
