And There's More to Italy than Pinot Grigio

I’ve waxed lyrical about Gavi before, I make no apologies it’s fantastic wine, but I see no need in repeating myself. I’ve sourced a couple of new labels for the shop and this is one of them. There is a bit more quality to this one than others we have tried, hence the price tag, but I definitely think it’s an example of better quality Italian whites.

I suggest trying this alongside the Garganega Pinot Grigio to see if you can taste the step up in quality. I do not want to sound like I am criticising, this is meant to have more to it and the other is meant to be light and refreshing, I just wanted to put an example of a richer Italian white in the case.

Cortese

A white Grape variety reserved for quality wine that typically tastes of lime with generous minerality. Whilst grown in a number of Italian DOCGs, Gavi is where it does best.
