June

Hello and welcome to the Weavers Wine Club summer case. Personally I can’t believe it’s summer already! I hope you are all taking the chance to enjoy the bit of sunshine we’ve had and that that this case will help you to relax and enjoy the British summertime.

After the themed cases I’ve sent out so far this year I thought this time I’d go for a more eclectic mix and just select a range of wines that we’ve tried recently and really liked.

They are nearly all especially brought in for the wine club and the selection process involved asking Alan, Mary, Chris, Don and Mike which new wines they’ve tried recently and enjoyed. For a number of reasons we can’t always stock the wines that we’d like to, they have to fit into the range and the shop (even more of an issue considering the limited space!). The Wine Club, with its remit to introduce new things to the members, is the perfect chance for me to share the wines that otherwise I wouldn’t get the chance to. I’ve also decided to do another mystery wine after the great feedback I got from the Lambrusco last year. For those of you who want to take part in our game, do not remove the tin foil or open the envelope marked Mystery Wine, just follow the instructions on the opposite page. I hope you enjoy the game and the rest of the case.

I know some of you attended the Champagne tasting in April and I’d like to say a big thank you, it was a great evening. Sometimes it just all comes together and the people that attend are a crucial part of that, this was one of those events were everything went right and I have to thank the attendees for their part in it. For those of you that weren't’ there, why not?! Only joking, but in all seriousness these evenings are a great opportunity to try different wines and have a bit of fun, so I’d love to see some more of you at one of our future events.
