Montepulciano... the Place, not the Grape!

Often the cause of some confusion, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a wine made in the picturesque town of Montepulciano in Tuscany, and is unrelated to the grape of the same name. The wine produced here has impressed many over the years and Pope Paul III’s cellar master labelled it a ‘perfect wine’. Traditionally it falls into the category of a richer Italian red with cherry fruit and a medium to full body. It’s a great wine, enjoy!
