I feel Picpoul de Pinet is starting to come of age. Though I doubt it will ever roll of the tongue like Sauvignon Blanc or Point Grigio, this once almost lost grape from the Languedoc has started to be recognised for its merits.
Picpoul is great a seafood platter or Japanese food. The grape gives the wine a very fresh and zesty character which is why it is often called the Muscadet of the South.
