The inspiration for the Two Tails name and label comes from an experience shared by Russell and Sarah, pictured right, who own the Fairbourne estate where the wine is made. Having been enchanted by a pair of rare black indigenous fantails (Piwakawak), Sarah contracted an artist to paint them. The finished artwork now takes pride of place in the home they share. I love the story and think that the wine is worthy of the name that means so much to them.
