 There is a real sense of tradition at Domaine Sorin-Defrance, and Christian and Jean-Michel cheerfully boast that the family has been making wine ‘from father to son since 1577’. I couldn’t resist putting this picture in, firstly because they look so French, but also because they founded the winery: meet Henry Sorin and Madeleine Defrance . This is a great wine that really delivers on the Wine Club’s remit, to deliver quality with a point of difference.

Saint-Bris

The only area in Burgundy where it is permitted to grow Sauvignon Blanc. Typically the grape shows off the herbaceous side to its personality here.
