Massya is now in to its second generation having started life in the 1970s when two brothers, Sami and Ramzi Ghosn, returned from traveling the world with an understanding of how terrior (that word again) played an important influence.

Upon return they could see how the clay-limestone soils of with the Mediterranean climate could influence the unique styles of wines that the Bekka Valley can produce. The Massaya red in this month's selection has been made as an easy-drinking style that still captures the essence of the terrior.
