Weavers has a long-standing relationship with Guntrum Wines, dating back to the 70s. In fact, this is not the first time that we have included a one of thier wines in the Wine Club case, we had great feedback from the Gewurtztraminer a couple of years ago. I think this wine represents a different side to German whites, and its a direction that I think could aid them in reversing their fortunes in the UK.
Louis Konstantin Guntrum is the 11th generation to manage the estate. He oversees traditional winemaking and vineyard practices whilst utilising modern equipment such as stainless steel fermentation tanks. Konstantin and his family are very welcoming and happily show their wines and historic cellars to all guests
