Gavi, Back By Request

You may remember this one from a previous Wine Club case, it met with tremendous popularity when we first opted to include it and since then some members have requested it be sent out again. It really does represent the best of everyday Italian white - refreshingly dry and drinkable without being boring (not mentioning any names Pinot Grigio!).

Gavi is one of my all time favourite Italian whites and this offering from Ca’Solare is no exception. We have the team at Araldica to thank for this one, and it’s another shining testament to what they can achieve. This wine is bottled in the spring immediately following the harvest, with the grapes having been gently pressed. As a result it has a lovely freshness to it, it is also delightfully soft right through to the finish.

  1. Gavi, del Commune Manfredi

    Gavi, Ca'Solare, 2015 75cl

Classic example of what the Cortese Grape can do in Gavi. Lots of fresh apple and citrus fruit flavour tempered by generous minerality and a crisp finish.
