Whilst they are known for producing good quality wines at a cheaper price point they also have different divisions dedicated to producing wines of interest, as well as top end wines form South America. The Single Vineyard project is a great example of the work they do, producing wines that have true terroir expression and proving that there is far more to Chilean wine than affordable Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot! I hope you enjoy the inclusion of these wines and agree that they showcase some of the best that Chile has to offer, think about recognised regions from France as you taste these, and consider what a Burgundy or Sancerre of the same quality would cost you. It might be that one day we're talking about 'San Antonia' or 'Casablanca' in the same breath.
For Cono Sur Winery, both sustainable agriculture and organic vineyard managements have become a way of life in the vineyards, where a special relationship with the terroir is cultivated, and clean and natural wines are born. Organic management means the fruit is produced without the aid of any chemical products, while sustainable agriculture avoids it. Both require the help of animals, insects and self-regulation of the eco-system.
