Margeret River in a Nutshell

The Margaret River lies 150 miles south of Perth and has loads of sunshine, surf and top class wines. The region nestles the Pacific which gives it one of the most maritime influenced climates in Australia, with ocean winds, moderate rainfall and long hot summer days. Commercial wines started here in the late 1960s Today the region boasts over 100 producers of which Juniper Estate conisitenly appears in the upper echelons.

Juniper Estate is located in heart of the Margaret River and is one of the oldest vineyards in the region. Starting life in 1973 in the pretty Wilyaburp Creek, the simple philosophy is to produce wines which best reflect the regions climate and soils.

Winemaker Mark Messenger has been at the estate since 1998, his experience lies in producing premium Margaret River wines using the best fruit and materials possible, and this is his mission at Juniper Estate.
