We had to use our imagination as we tasted it on a wet Wednesday in Nottingham, but Mary and Chris agreed that it was a rosé perfect for summer drinking.
The rest of the case just seemed to come together from there really, I love a drop of fizz in the warmer weather and the Follador Prosecco has been a favourite of mine ever since we took it on.
There's something a bit different for those of you that have our red case, I'm sure you'll enjoy Mitchell's Sparkling Shiraz - serve it ever so slightly chilled and you'll just love it. A recent revamp of our Argentinean range has lead me to the inclusion of the Verrum wines. Disappointingly, these haven't actually made it into our full list because we couldn't get the guarantee of constant supply - one of the few downsides to working with small produces - so I bought what I could get my hands on for the Wine Club. I hope you enjoy it!
We're starting to put everything in place for the annual Wine Club Members' tasting and I have to say that I'm getting very excited about the wines we are going to be showing. For those of you that didn't come last year, we run it like one of our trade tastings, giving you the opportunity to be a wine merchant for the day. We have a large selection of wines open and give you guys free reign to try whatever takes your fancy and influence future Wine Club cases by leaving your feedback online.
Here's hoping you have an enjoyably warm and sunny summer, and have plenty of good wine of course!
