This has to be on of my favourite new wines at Weavers, Mary deserves the credit for sourcing it whilst trying to find something a bit different for our Prosecco range. I'm a huge fan of Prosecco but, let's face it, there isn't a great deal of variation out there, it seems to be fresh and fizzy or fresh and fizzy.
When Mary poured me a glass, I couldn't believe the flavour and complexity of the Follador Frizzante. The secret to it as far as I'm concerned is the softer bubbles that come with this style, much more delicate and soft than you normally get from the spumante out there. What this also does, is it allows for much greater fruit expression leaving the palate more complex and deep. Its always part of the Wine Club's remit to introduce new things to our members, and I think that this is a really refreshing change, I hope you agree.
