and the vineyards themselves which stretch back well over a century. Both work in harmony to create wines of outstanding quality and great traditional character. The wine I've selected for this month's case is young, clean and bursting with ripe red fruit. Younger Riojas tend to be light and fresh in the mouth whilst a small amount of time being aged in oak barrels give them that slight vanilla edge which add a degree of complexity and mark them out as being of this classic style.
