It seems like so much has happened since the last Wine Club case in June - the members tasting; brand new wines arriving from Jura; the addition of Swiss wine to the weavers range - and wasn't there some kind of vote or something?! Whatever you opinion on the outcome and effects of the referendum, the good news is that you have a wonderful case of wine this month, which I'm sure you will enjoy!

Thank you to everyone that attended the Wine Club Members tasting, it was the best one yet! Thanks to the new ranking system that we asked Members to take part in we have the most comprehensive idea yet of which wines to include in future cases. We will soon be publishing the statistics so that all members can take look at the most popular wines, it makes for some really interesting reading.
In this month's case we have gone for the aforementioned Swiss wine - a superb premium wine that has a unique character and classy elegance. We've also opted for the Jura wines to continue the theme of niche wines and regional styles. To bring a bit of balance I've gone for some really approachable Romanian wines that offer superb value for money and are great summer drinking. With the inclusion of some old favourites in the of the Freedom Cross wines from South Africa, we have a balanced case that really shows off a range of styles - even if I do say so myself!
In other news from Europe, the 2016 vintage is going to be challenging due to adverse weather conditions. There are many factors that can affect the quality or style of any given vintage, and I take a look at how winemakers attempt to control and adapt to weather in this month's feature article.
