Made by the renowned Favre brothers (John and Mike) this wine is made without the use of pesticides in the vineyard with a greater emphasis placed upon finding equilibrium between soil, climate, water supply and vineyard management techniques. This is particularly impressive as Petite Arvine is very vulnerable to hail, requires an unusually high amount of rainfall, and only produces a low yield. Perhaps if more wines like this begin to make their way over to these shores Swiss wines will become more of a force in the U.K wine market. Otherwise it will just have to remain our little secret!
