That's What I Call Wine-Making Tradition

I keep reading that Riesling is having something of a renaissance with the younger generation. I'll leave it to Chris to discuss this at more length in this month's feature article but there's no denying the upturn in it's popularity. Whilst this has a lot to do with some clever rebranding, it is also having the effect of some of the more traditional styles getting the credit they deserve. Never is this more true than with the wines of S A Prüm.

A Wine Making Dynasty

The Prüm family have been producing wine in the Mosel since 1156, with S A Prüm establishing the current site of the winery in the late 18th Century. Today, Raimond Prüm - the great great grandson of the Winery's namesake - runs the winery with his daughter Saskia and has overseen the modernisation of the estate since 1971. The resulting wines are testament to the centuries of experience and the forward thinking of the current incumbents. Long may the Riesling renaissance continue.
