The grape variety used is called Cortese and is predominantly grown in the North Eastern region of Piedmont, often in the shadow of some of Italy’s great red wines such as Barolo and Brunello.
We have the renowned team at the forward thinking Manfredi cooperative to thank for this one, and it’s another shining testament to what they can achieve. By combining cutting edge modern wine making techniques with a passion for creating classic wines which are reflective of their terroir, they have been able to create a wine of remarkable freshness, balance and fruit purity. To achieve this the wine is bottled in the spring immediately following the harvest, with the grapes having been gently pressed and aged in stainless steel tanks. As a result it has a light body but also an impressive depth of flavour which carries on all the way to the finish.
