The Portuguese Pinot Noir

This superb wine is truly a Weavers favourite and I was shocked to find that it has been absent from the wine club since 2012! It has been a huge hit at every tasting we’ve done and can now be found in a number of Michelin star restaurants. If you’ve not tried it already, you'll love it.

Often referred to as the ’Pinot of Portugal’, Alfrocheiro is a grape variety not often seen in this country. The wine is soft and smooth but with good depth and complexity. I think Portuguese wines really are underrated, I’m sure you will agree after tasting this.

    Terra d'Alter Alfrocheiro, Alentejano, 2015 75cl

Alfrocheiro is the Pinot of Portugal with the characteristic small bunches and berries, creating a wine redolent of black cherries and soft red fruits, and a creamy silky finish.
