See what i did there?! Sorry about the corny title for this section, I could not resist it. The point I am attempting to make is that the unique factor with this particular wine is the grape variety. Durif is a grape that was created when botanist François Durif crossed two vines (Syrah and Peloursin) in his native France in the early 1800s.It is now mainly found in Australia and Califorinia.
We have been working with Campbell's for sometime and love the way their wines express the fruit of the region. the wine is made in Rutherglen, a region that some of you some may be familiar with as the home to the famous Liqueur Muscat, an amazing sticky dessert. They have more strings to their bow however and I'm very pleased to have been able to source enough of this limited release wine to satisfy the Wine Club requirements.
