Nosiola, Trentino Signature Grape

We've looked at a Nosiola before in the wine club and I have fond memories of it. I tried this one at a recent tasting and the memories just came flooding back. and I decided it would be perfect for this month's Wine Club case. Classically Italian but with a different twist

I've been familiar with the Cavit co-operative for some time and and knew it as one of Italy's most modern and forward-thinking groups. Offering quality, resources and marketing know-how, the co-operative is based in Trentino, a small area of North-East Italy where the classic Italian landscape of vines, hills and olive trees meets the pine trees and snow-capped mountains of the Alps. Cavit's expertise is in the understanding and development of the many winemaking opportunities presented by this diverse terrain.

The variety itself produces very aromatic light-bodied wines that can have a slight bitter note and a marked hazelnut character from which its name is derived.

  1. Terrazze Della Luna Nosiola

Terrazze Della Luna Nosiola, 2015 75cl

A floral nose with stone fruit and apple notes. The palate is delicate and fresh with hints of green apple, balanced by zesty acidity and a slight nuttiness on the finish.
