Great New Editions from Puglia

It's fair to say that we've gone a little Italian crazy here at Weavers, but I make absolutely no apology for it! It can be really hard to find good quality Italian wines in the UK and we just seem to have come across a real flurry of them at the moment, and I'm not about to pass up the opportunity to stock them.

Puglia is the heel of Italy's boot, and is one of its most fertile regions. The terroir is superbly suited to wine-making and the Primitivo is one of the most highly regarded red wines produced in here. Benefiting from one the longest coastlines of any region in Italy, the cooling effect of being so near the sea also allows for successful white grape cultivation. Both the white and red wines have that typically southern Italian fruit expression whilst retaining the bone-dry charm that often defines this region.
