Navardia: An Organic Statement

The UK food industry has gone through something of an organic revolution in recent years and the wine trade is no exception. More than ever we are asked which of our wines are organically farmed, as well as which are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. As people are becoming more conscientious of what makes it onto their plates and into their glasses this is a trend which is only set to continue.

In this month's case we have opted to include one of our most popular organic wines, the Navardia Crianza from the Rioja region of Spain. This wine is made with sustainability in mind from start to finish. Every decision from the choice of fertilizers, to picking the grapes by hand, to shunning the use of man made preservatives in the ageing process is made with the clear goal to make this wine the most natural product possible whilst still maintaining extraordinary quality. The wine is rich and complex with deep, brooding red and black fruit aromas which entwine enticingly with notes of vanilla and wood smoke on the finish.
